Energy and machine monitoring for textile mills

Spinning, weaving and processing lines run around the clock, and every one of them draws power. En-Stream shows the energy use and machine health of each line in one live view, using the meters, VFDs and PLCs you already have.

The problem

Where textile mills lose energy and uptime

  1. Energy per unit is a guess

The monthly bill shows what the mill used, not which line, shift or product used it. Without that, energy per unit of output can't be managed.

  2. Breakdowns stop whole lines

A failing motor or drive on a spinning frame or loom is often found only when it stops, and production stops with it.

  3. Air and utilities run unchecked

Compressed air, humidification and boilers run all day, but their consumption rarely shows up anywhere except the bill.

What to measure

Readings that matter in a textile mill

En-Stream reads these from your existing meters, drives and controllers, or from sensors wired to a gateway.

  • Power per line and machine

kW and kWh from energy meters on each department, line or large machine, so consumption follows production.

  • Motor and VFD health

Current, speed and fault data from the drives on spinning frames, looms and fans, read over Modbus.

  • Energy per unit produced

Each line's consumption set against its output, so you can compare lines, shifts and products.

  • Compressed air

Flow and pressure on the air system that feeds air-jet looms and pneumatic machines.

  • Boiler gas and fuel

Gas and fuel use next to electricity, for mills that run their own boilers or generators.

  • Supply by source

Grid, generator and solar, live, so you see which source carries the load at any moment.

ES-IGW-B1

Data Concentrator

Most mills start here. The ES-IGW-B1 reads energy meters, VFDs and PLCs over Modbus TCP and RS485, through the communication ports they already have.

FAQ

Textile monitoring FAQ

Can En-Stream show energy per unit of production?

Yes. Consumption from each line's meters is set against the line's output, so you can compare energy per unit across lines, shifts and products.

Do we need to stop production to install it?

No. Gateways connect to the meters, drives and controllers you already have. Most sites take 1–3 days on site, and larger plants are installed in phases, so production never stops.

Our machines come from different vendors. Will they connect?

Yes. En-Stream is vendor-agnostic. It reads PLCs, VFDs and meters over Modbus TCP and RTU, RS485 and RS232, and sensors over analog and digital inputs.

Can we monitor several mills from one place?

Yes. Every site reports to the same platform, and remote access lets you open the dashboards from any device.
