Packaging

Line uptime, machine health and energy monitoring for packaging

Packaging lines run fast, and a stopped motor or a drop in air pressure stops everything behind it. En-Stream watches motors, drives and compressed air live, so your team catches problems before the line stops.

The problem

Where packaging lines lose time and energy

  1. Short stops add up

Brief stoppages from a tripped drive or a jam rarely get recorded, but together they cut a shift's output.

  2. Compressed air leaks

Pneumatic machines depend on compressed air, and leaks waste energy around the clock without anyone hearing them.

  3. Drives fail without warning

Motors and VFDs on conveyors, fillers and wrappers show signs before they fail, but nobody is watching the data.

What to measure

Readings that matter on a packaging line

En-Stream reads these from your existing meters, drives and controllers, or from sensors wired to a gateway.

  • Line uptime

Running and stop signals from each machine, from its PLC or a gateway's digital inputs.

  • Motor and VFD health

Current, speed and fault data from the drives on conveyors, fillers, sealers and wrappers.

  • Compressed air

Flow, pressure and compressor power, so leaks and abnormal demand show up early.

  • Power per line

kW and kWh from energy meters on each line or large machine.

  • Supply by source

Grid, generator and solar, live, so you see which source carries the load.

Dashboards

Dashboards packaging teams use

    Alarms & Alerts

Alarms on drive faults, a stopped machine or low air pressure, sent the moment they happen.

  • Utilities dashboard for boiler gas, fuel and compressed airUtilities dashboard for boiler gas, fuel and compressed air

    Utilities

Compressed air, boiler gas and fuel next to electricity, for the whole plant.

FAQ

Packaging monitoring FAQ

Can En-Stream help find compressed air leaks?

Yes. En-Stream tracks compressed air flow, pressure and compressor power next to electricity, so leaks and abnormal demand show up as soon as they start.

How does predictive maintenance work on a packaging line?

En-Stream watches readings from motors, VFDs, pumps and other equipment. Its AI spots trends that come before a failure and alerts your team early, so maintenance can be planned instead of reacting to breakdowns.

Our machines come from different vendors. Will they connect?

Yes. En-Stream is vendor-agnostic. It reads PLCs, VFDs and meters over Modbus TCP and RTU, RS485 and RS232, and sensors over analog and digital inputs.

Do we need to stop production to install it?

No. Gateways connect to the meters, drives and controllers you already have. Most sites take 1–3 days on site, and larger plants are installed in phases, so production never stops.
