Commercial Buildings

Energy monitoring for commercial buildings, floor by floor

Offices and malls run HVAC, lifts and generators all day, and the bill rarely shows where the energy went. En-Stream tracks every meter in one live view, so you can see consumption and generator costs per floor or tenant.

The problem

Where building energy goes unseen

  1. One bill, many users

A single bill doesn't show which floor, tenant or system used the energy, so costs are hard to share fairly.

  2. HVAC runs on autopilot

Chillers, air handlers and fans often run longer than the building needs, and nobody notices until the bill arrives.

  3. Generator hours add up

During outages the generator carries the building, and its fuel cost is rarely tracked against the load it served.

What to measure

Readings that matter in a commercial building

En-Stream reads these from your existing meters and building controllers, or from sensors wired to a gateway.

  • Energy per floor or tenant

kWh from sub-meters on each floor, tenant or shared system.

  • HVAC

Power and running status of chillers, air handlers and fans.

  • Generator and fuel

Generator output and fuel use, next to grid and solar.

  • Lifts, pumps and shared services

Consumption of lifts, water pumps and other shared loads from their meters.

  • Supply by source

Grid, generator and solar, live, with what the building uses compared against what it generates.

Dashboards

FAQ

Commercial building monitoring FAQ

Can En-Stream show energy use per floor or tenant?

Yes. With a meter per floor, tenant or system, En-Stream shows each one's consumption, so costs can be shared on measured data.

Can we track the generator as well as the grid?

Yes. The Energy Flow view shows power from solar, grid and generator into the building live, and the Utilities view tracks fuel next to electricity.

Do we need to replace our existing meters?

No. En-Stream gateways connect to the meters, controllers and sensors you already run, including legacy equipment.

Can several buildings be monitored together?

Yes. Every site reports to the same platform, and remote access lets you open the dashboards from any device.
